A microphone is a device that converts sound into an electrical signal. CB radio microphones is a type that embodies its sub categories, such as Dynamic Microphones, Echo Microphones and Electrets Microphones.

A dynamic radio microphones has a ceramic cartridge inside it. An electrets microphone is a basic CB radio microphones that has an electric cartridge.

In the case of beanie helmets, the headsets are placed around the neck and microphones near the mouth.
